The full takeover of American Bank of Kosovo, founded in November 2001, and the renaming to Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo J.S.C. was completed in 2003. Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo was the country’s second-largest bank in 2013. With a balance sheet total of € 699 million, it had 54 banking outlets at the end of the year. Raiffeisen is one of the country’s most important banks for both corporate customers and private individuals.
As of 31 December 2013, total deposits stood at € 558 million, while the loan portfolio was € 458 million.

Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo managed to further strengthen its position in the large corporate segment. The bank remained the largest creditor to corporate customers with a market share of over 50 per cent. As a universal bank, it continued to provide large companies with the full range of banking products including lending, cash management, documentary business, deposits, and foreign exchange.
