Raiffeisen has been represented in the Albanian market since 2004 by Raiffeisen Bank Sh.a., which was founded in 1992 as Banka e Kursimeve i Shqipërisë. At the end of 2010, it was the country’s leading bank, offering financial services in all business areas as a universal bank.
Raiffeisen had a countrywide distribution network of 105 branches at the end of 2010; 1,300 employees served around 635,000 customers.

On a balance sheet total of € 2 billion, loans to customers at the end of 2010 were above the level of the previous year at € 776 million. Set against that were customer deposits of € 1.7 billion.

Founded in 2006, subsidiary Raiffeisen Leasing Sh.a. successfully defended its leading market position in 2010. With Raiffeisen Pensions Sh.a, Raiffeisen completes the product range by offering voluntary private pension fund products.

Raiffeisen Bank was named "Best Bank" by Euromoney in 2010 for the sixth time.
