With the varied programme a wide range of topics was spanned from the highlights of the last ten years to the strategic reorientation and renaming of Raiffeisen Sustainability Initiative (RNI). After the welcoming speech by RBI CEO Johann Strobl and a video greeting message from the Federal President, the well-known television presenter Johanna Setzer of PULS 4 led through the evening. Musical entertainment was provided by the ensemble of the smallest, the Suzuki Coolstrings and the Young Masters, all of whom are students of the Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Musikschule. The audience was fascinated by their performance. The trend researcher and keynote speaker Eike Wenzel, who spoke about the key trends of the coming sustainability society, provided information on the significance of sustainability in the future and made the audience reflect about life in the future.

RKI became RNI

The strategic further development of the Raiffeisen Climate Protection Initiative not only led to renaming into the Raiffeisen Sustainability Initiative but also to an extension of its task fields. In the future in addition to environment issues fields such as the economy, the core business and social responsibility as well as their interaction will be in the focus.

Comprehensive climate strategy

Furthermore, the comprehensive climate strategy developed by the 23 member organizations of RNI in cooperation with the Federal Environment Agency in recent months was presented. This is an orientation and action framework for the members, who thus play a pioneering role on the way to a climate-friendly economy and society.
