RBI overall winner of the Austrian Sustainability Reporting Award

On the 12th of November 2018, the Chamber of Tax Advisors and Auditors (KSW) awarded the Austrian Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA). The RBI Sustainability Report 2017 was ranked 1st in the "Large Companies" category and was also the overall winner across all five categories.


The jury's qualitative feedback on the RBI sustainability report highlighted, among other things, the successful presentation of sustainable projects and products as well as the excellent presentation of the ecological footprint. Furthermore, the connection to the SDGs, which also became apparent in the layout, was recognized. In addition, the good description of the effects, opportunities and risks was pointed out.


With this year's ASRA, which has now been awarded for the 19th time, an award was given to those companies that met the increasing requirements for non-financial reporting in an exemplary manner. In doing so, established standards as well as innovative and new ways of reporting got exposure. In addition to the RBI, 12 other Austrian companies were honored.


Procedure of the jury


A total of 30 submitted reports were judged, whereas winners of each category were fastly decided and the very high overall level of the reports was highlighted by the jury.), All ATX-20 companies were audited in the light of the Sustainability and Diversity Improvement Act (NaDiVeG) for the publication of non-financial statements/reports. The focus was on the reporting format, scope, framework, voluntary review, materiality analysis, risk reporting, supply chain, as well as privacy.


The assessment took place in five categories: majority-owned and / or non-profit organizations, GRI Initial Report, SME Sustainability Report, Integrated Business and Sustainability Report, Sustainability Report of Large Enterprises. All reports in the ranking have been created according to the reporting standard of the Global Reporting


Who assigns the award?


The award is presented by the Chamber of Tax Advisors and Auditors in cooperation with the Institute of Austrian Auditors, the Federal Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism, the Federation of Industrialists, the Austrian Society for Environment and Technology, respACT - austrian business council for sustainable development, the Federal Environment Agency and the Chamber of Commerce Austria.
