Economic Footprint ® of RBI published

Today, Raiffeisen Bank International has published its first value-added report for 2018 for all CEE countries (incl. Austria), in which it is active, as part of the Stakeholder Council. The economic contribution calculated in this study describes the total economic impact made by the operating performance of Raiffeisen Bank International in the CEE countries (incl. Austria). In other words, the aim of the investigation was to quantify not only the direct economic contribution resulting from RBI’s economic activities, but also the effects throughout the upstream value-added chain (indirect effects) triggered by intermediate inputs in other sectors in the CEE countries (incl. Austria).

Exciting panel discussion „Diversity – From ideal to reality“

Around 60 external and internal guests came together at RBI in mid-May under the motto "Diversität – vom Wunsch nach Vielfalt zur Realität in der Umsetzung“. As part of the "Diversity 2020" initiative, RBI and ABZ invited to this exciting evening.

Stakeholder Council 2018: With digital solutions to a sustainable future

At the end of November, more than 90 people from different stakeholder groups took part in the RBI's annual Stakeholder Council and discussed how digitisation can help the RBI to operate in a more sustainable manner in the future. Keynote speaker René Schmidpeter, Professor of International Business Ethics and CSR at Cologne Business School, highlighted the need for an inclusive approach to sustainability.

RBI overall winner of the Austrian Sustainability Reporting Award

On the 12th of November 2018, the Chamber of Tax Advisors and Auditors (KSW) awarded the Austrian Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA). The RBI Sustainability Report 2017 was ranked 1st in the "Large Companies" category and was also the overall winner across all five categories.

8th Stakeholder Council under the motto “SDGs meet RBI”

The eighth RBI Stakeholder Council, held in mid-November at the Sky Conference, was attended by more than 80 people from various stakeholder groups – customers and business partners, employees and owners, the financial community and sustainability rating agencies, education and research, interest groups, the media, politics and administration, NGOs and NPOs. The aim was to shed light on RBI's possible contribution to the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the international community in autumn 2015. The event was therefore held under the motto "SDGs meet RBI".

Once again award for the RBI Sustainability Report

Third place in the category for large companies

Twelve domestic companies were honored with prizes at the Austrian Sustainability Report Awards in mid-November. For the 18th time the Chamber of Public Accountants awarded the best sustainability reports from Austrian companies in five categories with the ASRA. RBI was able to achieve the gratifying third place with its 2016 report in the category “separate Sustainability Report for large companies”. According to the judging panel all awardees have implemented the demand to manage sustainably, exemplarily and presented it transparently.

Tenth Anniversary of Raiffeisen Klimaschutz-Initiative

The Raiffeisen Bank International, founding member of the Raiffeisen Klimaschutz-Initiative (RKI), provided the rooms for the anniversary celebration mid October 2017. The RKI, the platform and source of ideas for measures in the area of climate protection, energy efficiency and renewable resources for currently 23 renowned Raiffeisen member organizations, looks back on its tenth anniversary. On this occasion, representatives of the member companies and numerous companions met in the Raiffeisen Hall at the Stadtpark for a fitting celebration.

Workshop on Sustainable Development Goal 13

An event organized by Global Compact Network Austria was held in mid-May at RBI AG on the topic of Sustainable Development Goals. Representatives from renowned Austrian companies worked together to develop concrete approaches to achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13, “climate protection measures”. The latest national and international developments were discussed as were the corporate climate protection measures that have already been implemented.
