The total framework for all measures of the Corona Assistance Fund is EUR 15 billion, which can be used flexibly according to immediate needs. The liquidity needs of companies are to be covered by guarantees from the Republic and direct grants.

For the time being, the bridge guarantee (irrespective of the requested amount) applies to
companies with headquarters or business premises in Austria
with 250 or more employees or
with an annual turnover of EUR 50 million and
whose balance sheet total exceeds EUR 43 million
(according to a recommendation by the European Commission 2003/361/EC of 6 May 2003)
For groups of companies, a separate application must be submitted for each company which claims a bridge guarantee. However, those applications may be submitted jointly for a group of affiliated companies.

The Federal Government has announced on 3 April 2020, that in addition to the far-reaching support measures, the AWS bridge guarantee for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) available since 12 March 2020 will be significantly extended.
This temporary relief made possible by the EU will be used nationwide. The new measures will be available from Wednesday, 08.04.2020 and published on the AWS website.
The following 3 SME guarantee facilitieswith risk coverage of up to 100 % can be granted.

Grants are awarded to cover fixed/operating costs for companies in the Corona crisis.
Applications for the first third of the fixed cost subsidy can be submitted from 20 May 2020 via FinanzOnline (no longer via AWS) with confirmation of the application by a tax consultant, auditor or accountant
The basis of assessment will be the company's fixed costs and loss of revenue from 16 March 2020 onwards and by the end of the Covid measures, but no later than 15 September 2020
Fixed cost subsidy valid for up to three months in the period 15 March to 15 September 2020
Subsidies under these guidelines must be applied for by 31 August 2021.
