The start of my professional journey
I’ve always been fascinated by economics and finance. Right after graduating from the commercial academy (HAK) in 2007, my career took off quickly: I entered the banking world as an account manager at a bank. Shortly after, I moved to RLB NÖ-Wien – my very first touchpoint with Raiffeisen. There, I was able to fully channel my passion for stocks and steadily worked my way up to deputy branch manager by 2017.
My latest stop
After an intense period in traditional banking, I sought a new challenge and transitioned into commodity trading. This experience proved invaluable and ultimately led me to my current role in 2023: I’m now a Sales Trader at RBI in the Cash Markets and Derivatives Sales Trading team. Moving from retail banking straight to the trading floor has been an exciting journey that I truly enjoy!
Challenges I see for Raiffeisen Service Center
I believe RBI’s biggest challenges lie in geopolitical dynamics and increasingly strict regulations. Additionally, digital transformation and extreme market volatility keep us on our toes every day in trading. Our mission is to navigate these risks with agility and proactively turn them into new growth opportunities.
Balancing life and work
To balance the fast-paced trading environment, I rely on sports to push myself physically and clear my mind. Spending quality time with family and friends helps me relax and recharge, preparing me for the challenges ahead.
A glimpse of home
I grew up in the historic town of Hainburg an der Donau and now live in the neighboring Bad Deutsch-Altenburg. The beautiful Danube region is perfect for me, as it keeps me close to my family and friends, providing a strong sense of community and belonging.
