Pandemic, war in Ukraine, stagflation, energy, and digital transition, shifts in globalization trends – these crises and challenges at the local and EU level have and will continue to impact the economic and political landscape in Central Europe. All of them are also influenced by domestic policymakers with fiscal and partly monetary policy as tools to tackle most of these issues, while being also affected by the election calendar.
In September and October elections in Slovakia and Poland have brought results that imply political changes and shifts in the balances and the alliances in the Central European region. In this webinar we will delve into economic and political expectations after the two elections with our chief economists from Slovakia and Poland as well as an political/investment risk take from Marcus How - Head of Research & Analysis at ViennEast Consulting GmbH. Gunter Deuber, Head of Raiffeisen Research, will moderate the discussion and will give a brief intro.
