GSS Senior Relationship and Product manager at Raiffeisen Bank Hungary
Dániel Aradi, GSS Senior Relationship and Product manager at Raiffeisen Bank Hungary, provides an insight into his professional journey.
I started my professional career quite young, in 2012. The financial sector is in my blood, as both my parents worked in this field. Fascinated by the world of capital markets, I began my career at a small Hungarian independent investment firm, where I primarily worked as a capital markets trader. The next stage of my career took me into the multinational world, where I made my first major step into post-trade. In 2022, I joined Hungary's central securities depository, KELER, as a product manager. I was responsible for the domestic and cross-border securities settlement and investment fund distribution systems and services, as well as for reviewing and implementing the business strategy. At the beginning of 2025, I joined Raiffeisen Bank Hungary's Custody team within the Financial Institution Department as a Senior Relationship and Product Manager.
What I really like about my job is that it combines all the positive qualities of my previous positions into one role. I enjoy working with institutional clients, as it demands a high level of professionalism, but I also appreciate the product and business development aspect, where I can exercise my creativity through new ideas.
I think one of the biggest challenges the financial sector has faced for years is complying with an ever-changing and increasingly stringent regulatory environment. In my view, the next challenge for the sector will be the transition to T+1. Additionally, the market has been undergoing continuous consolidation for years, increasing price competition and encouraging stakeholders to continuously innovate and improve. This presents a challenge for companies but also offers great opportunities.
My free time is essentially divided into two parts. I have a daughter who is nearly five years old, and I love spending time with her. During the weeks she is with me, I try to make the most of our time together and experience new things. When she's not with me, I focus on exercising, meeting friends, or traveling when time permits.
I was born and raised in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, which has many wonderful historical buildings such as Buda Castle, the Parliament, and the Basilica. The city is divided by the Danube River, which has several islands offering opportunities to escape the hustle and bustle of urban life. The Buda side is mountainous, with many forests that are great for hiking.
