On 16 September, Johann Strobl, Valerie Brunner and Daniel Rath invited clients of RBI to an exclusive cultural evening at the Albertina, continuing our tradition of combining art and dialogue through the 'Art+Dine' format.

This year's exhibition, Gothic Modern, was curated in collaboration with the Ateneum Art Museum in Helsinki and the National Museum in Oslo. It explores the emotional power of medieval art and its influence on the Symbolist and Expressionist movements. During the evening, Ralph Gleis — Albertina's new general director and curator of the exhibition — gave an introduction to the show, highlighting how it sheds new light on the continuity of artistic inspiration and the role of art in today's society.

In her opening speech, Valerie Brunner emphasised the importance of shared experiences: "For Raiffeisen Bank International, this evening is a wonderful opportunity to thank our clients for their trust and to maintain the personal dialogue. This exchange is of utmost importance to us.”

The evening brought together clients from across RBI’s international network, including representatives from various RBI units. Their attendance emphasised the cross-border relevance of our engagements and the importance of cultural experiences in strengthening client relationships.

As a long-standing sponsor of the Albertina, RBI is proud to support cultural initiatives that foster international exchange and bring people together through shared experiences.

In our exclusive interview with Dr. Ralph Gleis, you’ll learn more about the background of the "Gothic Modern" exhibition and his vision for the Albertina.
