GPS on the Road: Journey Through an Eventful Quarter
Curious to learn how our Group Prime Services team keeps up with key trends and innovations? Join our journey through the last quarter – from dynamic workshops to earning top awards and exchanging ideas at major conferences.
This past quarter has been nothing short of remarkable for the Group Prime Services team. From engaging workshops to prestigious awards and thought-provoking conferences, we’ve been on the move, connecting with industry leaders, sharing insights, and celebrating successes. Here’s a story of our journey through a few exciting months.

Our quarter began in the charming city of Prague, where we hosted a workshop with network banks. This gathering set the tone for collaboration and innovation, bringing together the Raiffeisen network to discuss key trends shaping the Central and Eastern European region. Topics like AI’s transformative role in post-trade processes, market updates, and the shift to T+1 settlement sparked engaging conversations and laid the foundation for future initiatives.

From Prague, we made our way to Budapest for the highly anticipated RBI Prime Services CEE Forum 2025 on 8 April hosted by Raiffeisen Bank Hungary. The event was a dynamic platform for insights and dialogue, uniting professionals from depository and custodian services, brokerage, asset management, and beyond. Ferenc Kementzey’s opening address set an inspiring tone, followed by István Máté Tóth's (deputy CEO) market update from the Budapest Stock Exchange and Zoltán Török’s economic outlook on Hungary.

The forum delved into cutting-edge topics, from Christian Geberth’s exploration of AI in post-trade processes to Dirk Auersperg’s analysis of ETF trends and Jörg Bayer’s insights on ‘Trumponomics’ and market volatility. Panel discussions on T+1 settlement and CEE fund industry trends further enriched the day. The event concluded with a memorable Hungarian wine tasting and networking dinner.
In May, we took the conversation to a global stage at the ISSA Conference in Wolfsberg, Switzerland, from 6-8 May. Under the theme “Securities Services – Clients, Technology, and Risk” the conference offered a deep dive into the future of securities services. Panels and breakout sessions explored critical topics like accelerated settlement, demographic challenges, and emerging technologies, providing fresh perspectives and actionable takeaways.

Just a week later, on 14 May, we had the honor of attending the Global Custodian Awards Dinner in London, where Raiffeisen Bank International was named Best Custodian in Central and Eastern Europe. This prestigious recognition is a testament to the dedication of our GPS team and the trust of our clients. Our unique direct-access operating model, combined with innovative solutions like the Global Investor Gate, continues to set us apart in the industry. This achievement energizes us to keep pushing boundaries and delivering excellence.
As we reflect on this whirlwind journey, we’re proud of the progress we’ve made and the connections we’ve strengthened. This quarter has been a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation, and dedication. The GPS team is excited for what lies ahead as we continue driving excellence and fostering growth across the CEE region.
Here’s to more milestones, more innovation, and more success in the months to come. Stay tuned for our next adventure.
P.S.: Will we see you at TNF 2025 or PostTrade 360?
