The third quarter of 2025 has been nothing short of dynamic for Group Prime Services at Raiffeisen Bank International. In an industry where change is the only constant, GPS continues to be on the move — connecting with clients, shaping conversations, and driving innovation across the entire brokerage-to-custody value chain.

From the buzzing energy of The Network Forum Annual Meeting 2025 in Madrid to preparing for our strong presence at SIBOS 2025 in Frankfurt, this has been a quarter defined by collaboration, insights, and future-focused strategy.

The Network Forum 2025 – Where the Industry Comes Together

When more than 400 post-trade leaders gather under one roof, ideas take flight. The TNF Annual Meeting in Madrid once again proved why it is one of the industry’s most influential events — a place where custodians, brokers, central banks, and innovators shape what is next for securities services.

Raiffeisen Bank International, as founding partner and lead sponsor, was actively represented by its Network Management, Relationship Managers, and Network Banks.

For Group Prime Services, the conversations were highly relevant to our role as a bridge between the West and the East and to our positioning as a one-stop shop covering the entire brokerage-to-custody value chain.

 Among the many highlights:

  • Country risk management

Christian Geberth shared GPS’s perspective during the panel “Practical Implications of Country Risk: Past and Present”, shedding light on how we support clients in navigating rapidly changing regulatory landscapes.

  • Resilience in uncertain times

Bettina Janoschek participated in a lively discussion on the "Geopolitics and Securities Services—Operational and Legal Risks" panel, emphasizing GPS’s commitment to business continuity and the protection of client interests amid volatility. She outlined how organizations can build resilience and navigate geopolitical uncertainty. “Geopolitical volatility is the new baseline. We engineer business continuity by design - clear playbooks, legal accuracy across jurisdictions, and an operating model that pivots in days, not months. That is how we protect client interests, preserve regulatory compliance, and keep resilient, efficient settlement routes open, turning uncertainty into action.,” shared Bettina in her speech.

  • Empowering the next generation

Oleksandra Kucher took the stage in the panel "Getting Your Staff in Place: People in Custody, Next Gen Recruitment & Mentoring. And How Can The Young Modernize The Old?", outlining mentorship, trust, and talent development as key drivers of innovation in our industry.

The Network Forum reaffirmed our position at the epicenter of brokerage-to-custody transformation — where technology, regulation, and people come together to redefine what is possible.

SIBOS 2025: Frankfurt Awaits

Next on the GPS journey: SIBOS 2025 in Frankfurt — the world’s premier financial services conference. This year’s theme, “The next frontiers of global finance”,  resonates deeply with GPS´s mission: delivering seamless, integrated solutions across the brokerage-to-custody value chain while collaborating with partners and clients to shape tomorrow’s market.

We are especially proud that Oleksandra Kucher has been selected for the SWIFT´s Sibos Talent Accelerator Route (STAR) scholarship — a program dedicated to supporting and empowering women in financial services and fostering inclusive financial ecosystem. The scholarship offers access to exclusive leadership workshops, mentoring from senior industry executives, and curated networking opportunities at SIBOS, fostering the next generation of female leaders in the financial industry.

The Road Ahead

From Madrid to Frankfurt, this quarter has underscored RBI´s role as a connector, innovator, and thought leader. We are building bridges between West and East, between brokerage and custody, embracing change, and helping our clients navigate complexity with clarity, speed, and confidence.

And as we gear up for SIBOS 2025, we are excited to continue the conversation — and to meet the people and partners shaping the future of securities services.

Will we see you at SIBOS this year?

We hope so — because the journey from brokerage to custody is one we are building together.
