In today’s post-trade environment, efficiency and accuracy are crucial. Settlement instructions often span multiple markets, counterparties, and delivery routes—even a minor error can lead to delays or costly settlement issues. To simplify this process, we are introducing the new SSI Finder within the Global Investor Gate platform. The tool was developed in cooperation between the Settlement Office and the Global Investor Gate development team. Margit Hybek, Head of Custody Settlement, and Moritz Welsner, Product Owner Global Investor Gate, share their insights.

Which custody location should be used for this ISIN in my securities account? What is the exact settlement route for a specific security? With the latest enhancement in Global Investor Gate, you can retrieve this information independently: instead of sending an email to RSC custsett@rsc.co.at, simply enter the ISIN and select the client account to access the required details online at any time.

The SSI Finder – short for Standard Settlement Instructions Finder – determines within seconds the correct destination custody location and the optimal delivery/settlement route for securities held in an RBI custody account. Based on the standardized settlement instructions of Raiffeisen Bank International, the tool ensures that up-to-date and accurate settlement routes are always available to you.

The SSI Finder is connected in real time to RBI’s settlement system. As a result, all maintained reference data for the security as well as for the client account that affect the settlement link are incorporated directly into the result.

Additionally, the "Submit Query” page is being introduced as a direct communication channel from Global Investor Gate to the settlement team. Predefined structures enable targeted inquiries without the need to open an additional tool or email system.

Team perspectives:

“This latest development is another step towards automation and thus a positive qualitative advancement. I am pleased to offer our clients an additional way to retrieve data independently and irrespective of service hours.”Margit Hybek, Head of Custody Settlement, Raiffeisen Service Center (RSC)

“These developments strengthen our offering within Global Investor Gate through expanded self-service and on-demand information. At the same time, they reinforce our position by enabling us to respond proactively to market changes and offer innovative solutions that meet our clients’ needs. In doing so, we build trust and make a valuable contribution to supporting our clients.”Moritz Welsner, Product Owner Global Investor Gate

Key benefits at a glance:

  • Quick clarity: Enter the account number and ISIN—the SSI Finder delivers the recommended destination custody location and the appropriate settlement route within seconds.
  • Error prevention: Automated determination of settlement instructions reduces the risk of misrouting or missing critical settlement deadlines.
  • Flexibility in complex cases: If a specific Place of Settlement (PSET) is required, the SSI Finder incorporates this information directly into the result.

And if things get more complex: If a query does not return a result or the standard settlement link is not sufficient for a special case, our colleagues are of course available for personal handling as usual. In such cases, we welcome your inquiries via the "Submit Query” page or by email to RSC custsett@rsc.co.at.
