CDP Ranking

RBI's rank at CDP

Once a year, the non-profit organization CDP surveys and evaluates the CO2 emissions of listed companies on behalf of investors in over 90 countries.

RBI is one of the eight best companies in Austria to be included in this ranking. In addition, RBI is the best domestic financial sector company for the eighth year in a row.

CDP Ranking

CDP ranking

An organization’s average upstream emissions are around 5.5 times greater than their direct operations. That’s why CDP aims to increase buyer engagement to accelerate action on emissions in global supply chains. With this, the great potential that organizations have to  reduce global emissions by influencing their supply chains is addressed. CDP has established a system to evaluate supplier engagement practices and recognize best practice via an annual Supplier Engagement Rating that evaluates corporate supply chain engagement on climate issues. The highest-rated companies are celebrated in the Supplier Engagement Rating Leaderboard. RBI is proud to have earned a place as a leading company on CDP’s 2022  Supplier Engagement Leaderboard.

A detailed and independent methodology is used by CDP to assess companies, assigning a score from A to F based on comprehensive disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks and demonstrating best practices related to environmental leadership, such as setting ambitious and meaningful targets. Only companies that can demonstrate a score of at least 80 percent on the “Leadership” level are given a place on the A-list.

It is also necessary for CO2 reporting to be verified, for no relevant CO2 emissions to be excluded from the reporting, and for companies to have set themselves ambitious emissions reduction targets.

In 2022, more than 18,700 companies reported their CO2 data to CDP. Using this data and the CDP scores as an information base on material climate risks, investors and companies can make better decisions when selecting suppliers.
