Target group: Large companies and SMEs
Funding is provided for research, development and innovation projects as well as investments, environmental and climate protection projects in Austria:
- Loans with fixed interest rates
- Risk coverage and/or
- Cash grants
Assumptions of liability by the federal funding agency ensure that the company's own collateral resources are conserved and a lower interest rate can be achieved.
Upper limits:
- European Recovery Program (ERP) loan: max. EUR 30 million
- aws guarantee: up to EUR 15 mn – up to EUR 25 mn for "green" and digitization projects
Funding is available for research and development projects in all sectors (no restriction on company size) with a high technical development risk (including cooperation projects at national and EU level).
The funding priorities of Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft (FFG) are, for example:
- Energy transition
- Circular economy
- Mobility transition
- Production and materials
- Climate-neutral cities
Depending on the program, FFG provides support in the form of cash grants, interest subsidies and risk coverage.
