Back-end only
RBI is providing back-end card acquiring services only and the terminal services are provided by a technical partner of the merchant’s choice.

Security First With PCI DSS

Security is at the heart of RBI services: We entertain a sophisticated set of mechanisms, frameworks and rules to provide a maximum level of security in any regard.

The most important bracket touching all related parties in the card acquiring industry is the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

This standard requires all parties to perform regular testing and to obtain recurring certifications for all credit card data processing elements, from processing centers to network operators, from software to hardware.

Our solutions are in full compliance with and certified by PCI DSS. In addition, we are happy to provide you with the necessary information to fulfill all relevant standards.

Pricing: The Interchange++ Concept

Within the European Union, it is mandatory to offer merchants their respective card acquiring commission upon their request, split into three parts:

  • Merchant interchange fee (MIF), also called Interchange (IC): received by the card issuing financial institution
  • Payment system fees (also called scheme fees): received by MasterCard and Visa respectively
  • Acquirer fee (also called commission): stays with the acquiring institution for its service

All positions are payed out of the merchant’s card revenue per transaction. Interchange fees are set by Visa and MasterCard per country and are subject to frequent adjustments.
