Vienna-based Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI), Raiffeisenbank Czech Republic, Raiffeisen Bank Romania and Polish Bank Pekao, S.A. have recently signed a cooperation agreement regarding the mutual referral of Corporate customers and SME clients. Through this cooperation, RBI customers gain simplified access to the Polish market, while Pekao customers receive fast and direct access to the Austrian, Czech, and Romanian markets.
Thanks to the combined experience of Raiffeisen Bank International and Bank Pekao, clients of RBI, who plan to expand their business into the Polish market will benefit from a dedicated International Office that supports cooperation with the partner bank, ensuring a simplified onboarding process and smooth coordination. They will enjoy a consistent customer experience across different markets and banking relationships, improved liquidity management, and greater predictability of international transactions. In the future, the cooperation model will be expanded to additional countries.
“This agreement creates added value for our respective customers who intend to expand internationally and we thereby strengthen our position as a reliable partner for the CEE region,” said Valerie Brunner, member of the Management Board responsible for CIB Customer Coverage. Łukasz Januszewski, Vice President of the Pekao’s Management Board, supervising the SME Banking Division, added: "Together with our partner bank, we support companies in safely expanding. This support will be available at every stage of expansion – from starting operations in a foreign market to completing financial transactions and growing the business.”
"As Polish companies expand their operations in foreign markets with greater confidence and on a larger scale access to a respected, credible financial institution becomes increasingly important. Through our cooperation with Raiffeisen Bank International, we address this issue by facilitating our clients access to local expertise, dedicated support and comprehensive solutions”, said Robert Sochacki, Vice President of Bank Pekao S.A., supervising the Corporate Banking, Markets and Investment Banking Division.
